About the Fellowship

The Virginia and Walter Nord Postdoc Fellowship in the Humanities at Case Western Reserve University’s Baker-Nord Institute for the Humanities offers early-career scholars the opportunity to pursue independent research within a vibrant and interdisciplinary academic environment. Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

PhD in a humanities discipline awarded between 2013 and 2026 from an institution other than Case Western Reserve University
Demonstrated potential to contribute to one or more of the Baker-Nord Institute’s affiliated departments
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Eligibility to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong record of scholarly publications or creative research
Teaching experience at the undergraduate level
Evidence of interdisciplinary engagement

Not Eligible:

Applicants who received their PhD from Case Western Reserve University

Key Responsibilities
