Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Internationally recognised research and teaching experience
  • University-level teaching experience and didactics
  • Experience in archaeological fieldwork and personnel management
  • Ability to teach and supervise in German (or acquire proficiency within two years)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Habilitation or equivalent for full/associate professor
  • Well-advanced postdoctoral project for assistant professorship with tenure track
  • Experience in acquiring project funding and participating in academic committees
  • Collaboration with national agencies, cantonal archaeology departments, and research centres
