Post-Doctoral Research Assistant (PDRA) in EEO Carbon Allocation Modelling – University of Reading, UK

About the Position

The School of Archaeology, Geography & Environmental Science at the University of Reading is inviting applications for a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant (PDRA) in EEO Carbon Allocation Modelling. This is a fixed-term role of up to 20 months, funded under the prestigious LEMONTREE project (Land Ecosystem Models based On New Theory, Observations and Experiments). Supervised by Professor S.P. Harrison, the successful candidate will contribute to developing integrated models of plant carbon allocation grounded in eco-evolutionary optimality theory. The position involves modelling carbon allocation to non-structural carbohydrates and reproduction, as well as validating outcomes with both field and laboratory data. This exciting opportunity includes collaboration with world-leading institutions such as Imperial College London and Tsinghua University, offering international exposure and interdisciplinary research experience.
