Eligibility:
- Candidates from Physics, Engineering Physics, Photonics, Space Physics, Atmospheric Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Meteorology, Geology, Geophysics, Earth Science, Oceanography, and Remote Sensing can apply.
- Must have Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Science or Engineering with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) at both levels.
- Must have qualified in one of the following national-level exams:
- CSIR-UGC NET JRF/AP (Dec 2023, June 2024, Dec 2024) in Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences.
- GATE (2023/2024/2025) in Physics, Geology and Geophysics, Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, Chemistry.
- JEST 2025 in Physics.
- UGC-NET JRF/AP (Dec 2023, June 2024, Dec 2024) in Environmental Sciences (for candidates applying in Geosciences, Space & Atmospheric Sciences, Planetary Sciences & Space Exploration).
- For Space & Atmospheric Sciences, Planetary Sciences & Space Exploration, Physics at UG and PG levels is mandatory.
- Candidates must be Indian citizens and should have studied at recognized universities/institutes in India.
- Upper Age Limit: 28 years as of 01 July 2025.
Fellowship:
- For Junior Research Fellows (JRF): Rs. 37,000/- per month
- For Senior Research Fellows (SRF): Rs. 42,000/- per month (as governed by Dept. of Space guidelines).
