Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech.) in Physical Sciences (Physics, Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Oceanography, Geophysics with Meteorology, Climate Science, Environmental Sciences, Electronics or related fields), Chemical Sciences (Chemistry, Physical/Inorganic/Organic Chemistry), Mathematical Sciences (Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics), or any branch of Engineering
  • Valid national-level fellowship (CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST, INSPIRE, RGNF, etc.)
  • Minimum 55% marks (UR/EWS) or 50% marks (OBC/SC/ST/PwD/Third gender)
  • Studied Physics or Mathematics at the bachelor’s level
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated research experience
  • Strong academic performance
  • Familiarity with atmospheric modeling tools or programming languages (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB)
