Lund University’s Department of Architecture and the Built Environment invites applications for a fully funded PhD position in Architecture leading to a Doctor of Philosophy in Fine Arts. This unique artistic doctorate blends academic and design-driven research to explore urban design challenges through spatial imagination and creative experimentation. Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Interior or Landscape Architecture (at least 60 ECTS at second-cycle level)
Documented artistic skills
Strong English proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in artistic research or interdisciplinary urban projects
Knowledge of digital design tools or mapping software
International academic or professional exposure
Ability to conduct and present independent, critical, and creative work
