About the Program
The University of Tübingen invites applications for a PhD position in Plant Ecology (m/f/d) within the Institute of Evolution and Ecology (EvE), Faculty of Science. This fully funded doctoral position (E13 TV-L 65%) is part of the French-German collaborative project HYPERSAPCE, led by the University of Bordeaux and funded by the ANR-DFG scheme. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Katja Tielbörger, the project investigates the ecological and evolutionary consequences of metal hyperaccumulation in plants, exploring how this unique adaptation evolved and responds to environmental stressors such as drought, herbivory, and competition. The PhD candidate will conduct greenhouse experiments and collaborate internationally across molecular, ecological, and ecosystem research levels, contributing to cutting-edge interdisciplinary research in European plant ecology.
