About the Program
The University of Groningen invites applications for a fully funded four-year PhD position in Prehistoric Archaeology, focusing on the connectivity of prehistoric farming communities in northwestern Europe. This project investigates how local populations in the northern Netherlands, especially the southeastern part of Friesland, interacted with neighbouring communities through ceramic analysis. The research will employ stylistic, scientific, and statistical methods to study knowledge exchange and identity formation. This PhD is part of a prestigious programme supported by a university bequest and offers the opportunity to join a dynamic international academic environment under the supervision of leading experts.
