About the Program
University of Cantabria invites applications for a fully-funded PhD in Prehistoric Archaeology titled “PhD Research Grant in Prehistoric Archaeology (Zooarchaeology)” at the Instituto Internacional de Investigaciones Prehistóricas de Cantabria (IIIPC). This doctoral position focuses on the detailed analysis of Magdalenian faunal remains, addressing patterns of faunal use and ritual activities within Palaeolithic archaeology. The project will be integrated into the SCOPE research group and supervised by leading researchers in the field. The research duration is four years and is based in Santander, Spain, with an expected start date of January 2026.
