About the Position

Research Area

Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in a relevant academic subject
- Strong academic record, ideally in Latin, preferably combined with Greek
- Ability and willingness to teach in German
- Interest in ancient or late antique Roman poetry
- For predoctoral applicants: a scholarship or willingness to apply for one
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant doctorate for postdoctoral qualification
- Experience in teaching or supervising students
- Research experience in Classical Philology
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research aimed at obtaining a doctorate or habilitation
- Teach 2 SWS in Classical Philology
- Advise and supervise students
- Participate in departmental administration
- Collaborate within interdisciplinary research networks
