About the Program
The Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences at Comenius University in Bratislava invites applications for a fully funded PhD position in Social Anthropology starting in September 2025. This position offers a unique opportunity to explore the topic “Native Ecological Movements in Eurasia” under the supervision of Prof. Juraj Buzalka. The programme combines theoretical grounding with practical research through ethnographic fieldwork. Students will develop expertise in anthropological theory, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and field research in national and international contexts. The programme includes teaching opportunities, access to international conferences, and participation in funded projects. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in social sciences or humanities
- English proficiency at B2 level
- A research project proposal demonstrating knowledge of theory, methodology, and relevance to the topic
- No signs of plagiarism in prior academic work
- Strong analytical and scientific writing skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in writing scientific texts
- Familiarity with qualitative or quantitative data analysis
- Participation in research projects
