About Position/Job

The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a Research Assistant in Physics, with a special focus on cultural heritage applications. The role is ideal for early-career physicists passionate about using particle and radiation detectors for the non-invasive analysis of archaeological and historical artefacts, including Islamic ceramics. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr Francesco Arneodo and join a dynamic, international research environment that blends physics, heritage science, and advanced analytical techniques.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Familiarity with cultural heritage or archaeological science
  • Interest in environmental or medical radiation applications
  • Team-oriented and enthusiastic about learning new methods
