Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD in Art History (with a focus on modern or contemporary art)
  • Excellent doctoral dissertation
  • Strong teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
  • Proven ability to publish in international, peer-reviewed academic venues
  • English fluency and at least one additional foreign language

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Research specialisation in 20th and 21st-century art and exhibitions, especially post-1960s
  • International academic profile with global perspective
  • Demonstrated team collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience in teaching within global or comparative frameworks

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research and maintain an active publication record
  • Contribute to ongoing research projects in the Chair of Contemporary Art History
  • Teach BA and MA courses in line with university guidelines
  • Participate in academic quality assurance and departmental administrative duties
  • Support collaborative academic activities and foster interdisciplinary dialogue
