About the Position
The University of York is inviting applications for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Biodiversity Change to join the Leverhulme Centre for Anthropocene Biodiversity (LCAB). Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD (current or forthcoming) in a relevant subject area
- Strong analytical skills with experience in handling large ecological or time-series data sets
- Knowledge of ecology and global change research methods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven record of publishing in high-profile journals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience developing research proposals
- Capacity for independent and collaborative research
- Strong interest in transdisciplinary approaches
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and lead research to advance understanding of biodiversity change in the Anthropocene
- Analyse existing biodiversity data to assess methodological discrepancies and trends
- Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at conferences
- Collaborate with colleagues within LCAB and external partners to support interdisciplinary work
- Contribute to research proposals and mentor students or junior researchers
