About the Position

The CLEANZ Centre of Excellence (CoE) at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad) is inviting applications for a Post-Doctoral/Postdoc Research Fellowship in Carbon Capture and Utilization. This opportunity is aimed at fresh PhD graduates or early-career researchers with an interest in bioelectrochemistry, microalgal technologies, or CO₂ conversion. The fellowship aligns with CLEANZ CoE’s mission to develop scalable, IP-driven technologies in carbon capture and utilization.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD in Environmental Engineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Climate Change, or allied areas
  • Provisional PhD degree certificate (at minimum)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in chromatography or electrochemistry
  • Experience in experimental setup design
  • Publications in Scopus-indexed journals
  • Strong academic record and communication skills
  • No publications in predatory journals

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop bioelectrochemical prototypes for CO₂ conversion
  • Assess CO₂ uptake in varying flue gas environments
  • Identify and optimise lipid-producing strains
  • Prepare technical reports and research articles
  • Manage lab operations
