About the Position
The University College Dublin (UCD) is offering a Postdoctoral Research Fellow Level 2 position in Earth Science as part of a major Research Ireland Professorship programme led by Prof. Sarah Gleeson. The project, “Metals for a Green Ireland: Developing Innovative Mineral Systems and Exploration Tools,” focuses on the critical raw materials essential for the green-energy transition.
Based within the UCD School of Earth Sciences and the iCRAG Centre for Applied Geosciences, the successful candidate will join an internationally connected research team with field sites across four continents. This role emphasises geochronology, analytical innovation, and applied geoscience, contributing directly to raw-materials research at UCD. With access to world-class facilities at the National Centre of Isotope Geochemistry, the fellowship offers exceptional opportunities for professional development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and high-impact scientific contributions.
