The Department of Translation and Language Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Barcelona, invites applications for a senior postdoctoral researcher position within the new ERC proof-of-concept grant SENSOR (“Making sense of reference”, 2025–2027). This exciting project focuses on exploring language function in psychosis, particularly schizophrenia, using advanced MEG technology. The research aims to shed light on how language and reference are processed in both neurotypical individuals and those with schizophrenia, contributing to a deeper understanding of language dysfunction in psychiatric disorders. The position offers the chance to work in an international, interdisciplinary team, collaborate with leading institutions in Berlin and Münster, and develop cutting-edge experimental paradigms. Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Skills in computational linguistics
  • Experience leading interdisciplinary research teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop naturalistic story comprehension paradigms with OPM-MEG
  • Coordinate and lead data collection, especially in Berlin
  • Analyse linguistic and neuroimaging data
  • Drive theoretical and methodological development of the project
  • Act as lead author on high-impact publications
  • Coordinate collaboration between international research teams
