About the Position
The CNRS – National Center for Scientific Research invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher (M/F) position on the Biological Carbon Pump at the Laboratoire d’Océanographie de Villefranche (LOV), located near Nice, France. Starting January 2026, this 12-month full-time role is funded by Horizon Europe under the DTO-Bioflow Project, which aims to transform marine biodiversity data into actionable knowledge for the EU Digital Twin Ocean. The postdoctoral fellow will develop a global carbon flux product by integrating Underwater Vision Profiler (UVP) measurements, sediment trap data, and machine learning (ML) approaches. The project combines oceanography, data science, and plankton ecology, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge marine research within an internationally recognised institution.
