Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Understanding of terrestrial ecosystem functioning
  • Strong publication record in relevant fields

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in transdisciplinary environmental research
  • Familiarity with Google Earth Engine or similar platforms
  • Background in collaborating with ecologists and interdisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct remote sensing-based analysis for long-term ecosystem monitoring
  • Integrate satellite data with biodiversity field datasets (e.g., vegetation, eDNA)
  • Collaborate across faculties in the SAFIRE programme
  • Contribute to external funding applications
  • Engage in publishing and scientific dissemination
