About Position / Job
Stockholm University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Organic Geochemistry and Paleoclimate within the Department of Environmental Science. This full-time, funded postdoctoral position focuses on understanding Holocene paleoclimate dynamics, Arctic environmental change, and biogeochemical processes using advanced organic geochemical and biomarker techniques. The project investigates the Canadian Beaufort Sea shelf and Mackenzie River basin, addressing key scientific questions related to sea-level rise, freshwater input, primary productivity, sea-ice cover, ocean acidification, and methane dynamics. The postdoctoral fellow will work under the supervision of Dr Julie Lattaud in a highly international and interdisciplinary research environment. The position is funded for two to three years and offers opportunities for laboratory-intensive research, method development, and potential Arctic fieldwork, aligning strongly with the department’s mission to advance global environmental and climate science.
