The Computational Combustion and Machine Learning (CCML) Lab at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar invites applications from highly motivated researchers for a Postdoctoral Fellow position. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
- Strong academic record: ≥60% from UG onwards; ≥55% in Class 10 and 12.
- Experience in CFD and simulation tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with open-source CFD tools (OpenFOAM, PeleC, Nek5000).
- Proficiency in high-performance computing.
- Understanding of reacting flows, chemical kinetics, gas-turbine simulations.
- Experience with machine learning for turbulence-chemistry modelling.
- Proficiency in Python and other programming languages.
- Record of peer-reviewed publications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate physics-informed ML frameworks for chemical kinetics and turbulent combustion.
- Integrate models within CFD tools for practical combustor applications.
- Publish research in high-impact journals and present at international conferences.
- Co-mentor graduate students and support lab infrastructure and funding efforts.
- Optional teaching opportunities for academic portfolio development.
