About Position/Job
Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Human Evolutionary Genetics and Bioinformatics based at the Institut Jacques Monod (IJM) in Paris. This 33-month, fully funded postdoctoral position is part of a research project supported by the Foundation for Medical Research and supervised by Dr Stéphane Peyrégne, Head of the Paleogenomics Team. The role focuses on investigating the evolutionary origins of complex human genetic diseases using ancient genomes and genome-wide association studies (GWAS). The project combines statistical genetics, evolutionary genetics, and bioinformatics, with a strong emphasis on advanced modelling, simulations, and large-scale genomic data analysis. Embedded in an international and interdisciplinary research environment, this position offers an outstanding opportunity for early-career researchers to contribute to high-impact research linking human evolution, genomics, and health within one of Europe’s leading research organisations.
