Postdoctoral Researcher in Oceanography at CNRS, France – Apply by 11 November 2025

About the Position

The National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) in France invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Physical Oceanography within the Laboratoire d’Océanographie Physique et Spatiale (LOPS), Brest. This position is part of the EERIE (Eddy-Rich Earth System Models) project funded by Horizon Europe, aiming to improve our understanding of how ocean eddies influence present and future climate systems. The research will involve analysing high-resolution coupled ocean–ice–atmosphere models developed across Europe, focusing on the role of mesoscale turbulence in climate variability, ocean stratification, and decadal predictability. The postdoctoral researcher will join the Ocean and Climate team at LOPS, an internationally recognised group specialising in high-resolution modelling and ocean–climate interactions.
