About the Position

The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellow position for a research project funded by BIRAC, Government of India. The project focuses on the Extension and digitalisation of the Indian Aphasia Battery (IAB). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in Signal Processing, Artificial Intelligence, and Biomedical Engineering to contribute to a meaningful research project with real-world applications.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • PhD or MTech with at least three years of research experience
  • One research paper published in an SCI-indexed journal
  • Exposure to Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, or Instrumentation Engineering
  • Proficiency in Signal Processing, AI, and software (Python, Matlab)
  • Experience in working with Gait and Balance-based devices (Camera-based or Pressure Mat-based devices)
  • Experience with patient data collection is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous involvement in similar research or projects
  • Strong understanding of device-based signal processing and AI modeling

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the extension and digitalization of the Indian Aphasia Battery
  • Work with signal processing algorithms and AI models
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to enhance the project
  • Develop and improve microcontroller-based devices for gait and balance analysis
  • Conduct data collection from patients and analyze the results
