The Human-AI Interaction (HAIx) Lab at IIT Gandhinagar is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to work on an innovative project aimed at enhancing communication pathways through Hybrid Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI). Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cognitive Science, or a related field
  • Strong background in one or more of the following areas:
    • Human-Computer Interaction
    • Brain-Computer Interfaces
    • Biomedical Signal Processing
    • AI and Machine Learning (ML)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior publications in the relevant areas
  • Experience with multimodal data integration
  • Familiarity with real-time interaction systems and assistive technologies

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop data acquisition methods and experimental paradigms for hybrid BCI systems
  • Design and implement AI algorithms to analyze multimodal data (EEG, EMG, eye gaze)
  • Improve user interface (UI/UX) design for assistive devices and clinical tools
  • Contribute to the development of novel research ideas and methodologies
  • Co-supervise students and assist with research projects
  • Publish research findings in high-impact journals and conferences
