Postdoctoral Fellowship in Geosciences at CNRS, Toulouse, France – Apply by 20 October 2025

About Position/Job

The CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) invites applications for a 1.5-year postdoctoral fellowship in the field of geosciences, focusing on old terraces and karstic network TCN dating and associated paleodenudation rates around the Pyrenees. The position is part of the ANR Py-10 project (PI V. Regard, 2025–2029) and will be based at the Géosciences Environnement Toulouse (GET) laboratory. The postdoctoral fellow will analyse long-lived fluvial remnants, work with existing and new TCN dates, and evaluate paleodenudation rates in comparison with modern estimates. The fellowship offers interdisciplinary collaboration with scientists across France, including partnerships with the French Geological Survey (BRGM), and provides an opportunity to engage with the Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées’ dynamic research environment near the Pyrenees and Spain. The role emphasises cosmogenic nuclide analysis, quantitative geomorphology, and publication in international peer-reviewed journals.
