About Position/Job
Aix-Marseille Université (AMU) invites applications for a 3-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in the research programme “The Indo-Persian Continuum, c. 11th–17th Centuries”, supervised by Professor Alka Patel at LA3M, MMSH. This full-time postdoctoral position focuses on Anthropology, Architecture, Design, and History, including disciplines such as Archaeology, History of Art, Museology, Urban and Spatial Design, and Textile Design. The fellowship offers unique opportunities for international fieldwork in India and Central Asia, access to extensive archives and libraries in Provence, and interdisciplinary collaboration across European and Asian institutions. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD awarded after June 2023 or by June 2026 for current doctoral candidates
- Knowledge of research languages such as Persian, Arabic, Sanskrit, or Indic vernacular
- Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and photo database management

Key Responsibilities

- Participate in two international field trips (India and Central Asia)
