About the Position

The French School at Athens or École française d’Athènes (EFA) is offering an exciting opportunity for postdoctoral researchers through the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF) 2025. Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • A completed PhD at the time of application.
  • No more than 8 years of research experience since PhD completion.
  • Ability to conduct independent research in archaeology, ancient history, or related fields.
  • Applicants must not have spent more than 12 months in Greece during the last three years prior to the application deadline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong background in classical archaeology or history.
  • Experience in archaeological fieldwork, interdisciplinary research, or Mediterranean studies.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of French or Greek is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an independent research project.
  • Collaborate with the scientific and technical staff at EFA.
  • Participate in archaeological fieldwork, data collection, and analysis.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier academic journals.
  • Present research at international conferences and contribute to academic discussions.
