The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for two Postdoctoral Research Fellow positions in Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The project, titled “Enhancing Decision Communication with Hybrid Brain–Computer Interfaces,” is led by Dr Yogesh Kumar Meena, Principal Investigator at the Human–AI Interaction (HAIx) Lab. This interdisciplinary initiative combines computer science, AI, and cognitive neuroscience to design hybrid brain–computer interfaces integrating EEG, EMG, and eye–gaze signals for faster, intuitive communication. The fellowship offers an exciting opportunity to advance next–generation assistive technologies and real–time interaction systems, supporting IIT Gandhinagar’s mission to drive transformative human–centred innovation in AI–based healthcare and communication systems.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, Cognitive Science, or a closely related field (those who have submitted their dissertation may also apply).
Minimum 60% marks or equivalent from graduation onwards and at least 55% marks in both Class 10 and Class 12.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior publications and research experience in HCI, Brain–Computer Interfaces, or Biomedical Signal Processing.
Proficiency in AI/ML tools and programming for multimodal data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Develop hybrid BCI paradigms integrating EEG, EMG, and gaze–based data.
Design and implement AI algorithms for multimodal data analysis.
Build adaptive interfaces for real–time human–AI interaction.
Contribute to publications, supervise students, and support interdisciplinary collaboration.
