Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in historical studies or equivalent from abroad
  • Strong research expertise demonstrated through thesis, publications, and project participation
  • Excellent personal, administrative, and cooperation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate awarded within 3 years prior to application deadline (exceptions apply for parental leave, health, or relevant service)
  • Experience in interdisciplinary, archival, or field-based research
  • Ability to contribute to teaching (up to 20% of workload)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research relevant to the Baltic and Eastern European region
  • Participate in CBEES advanced seminars, conferences, and workshops
  • Advise and support doctoral students in the Baltic and Eastern European Graduate School (BEEGS)
  • Contribute to teaching and administrative tasks, including organising events
