About Position
The National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), in collaboration with the Laboratoire de Géologie at École Normale Supérieure (ENS-PSL), Paris, invites applications for a fully funded two-year Postdoctoral position in Geosciences and Volcanology. This ERC-funded project, SeaSALT (Seafloor Spreading on Short And Long Time Scales), focuses on dynamical modelling of magmatic intrusions at mid-ocean ridges. Supervised by Dr. Jean-Arthur Olive, the research aims to understand the parameters controlling dike propagation, magma flow, and lithospheric fracture processes. Using advanced numerical simulations calibrated with seismological and geodetic data, the postdoctoral researcher will contribute to unraveling the physics behind seafloor spreading events. The role provides access to high-performance computing, international collaborations, and a dynamic academic environment in Paris.
