About the Position
The University of Graz invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the Department of Digital Humanities, commencing in February 2026. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Digital Humanities or related Humanities discipline with certified digital methodology skills
- Proficiency in German and English (C1/B2 levels minimum)
- Strong technical and methodological expertise in Digital Humanities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with NLP and historical text corpora
- Proven record of publications and project participation
- Experience with third-party funded project applications
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and teaching experience
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct autonomous research and publish in the field of Digital Humanities
- Develop and contribute to national and international research projects
- Supervise and mentor students
- Teach and evaluate courses in the Master’s programme in Digital Humanities
- Participate in academic associations and infrastructure projects (e.g. TEI, DHd, DARIAH-EU, CLARIN-ERIC)
- Apply for third-party funding and contribute to departmental administration
