About Position/Job
KU Leuven is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Position in Medieval Studies. This Position comes under the ERC-funded project “Fluidity in the Medieval Aristotle. Readers and Readings of the Greek-Latin Translations (FitMA)”. This project explores how Aristotle’s works were transmitted and reinterpreted through medieval Greek-Latin translations, with a focus on philology, palaeography, and medieval philosophy. The successful candidate will join the De Wulf-Mansion Centre for Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy, working under the supervision of Dr Pieter Beullens. Fellows will collaborate closely with an international research team, contribute to critical editing of medieval texts, and participate in conferences and workshops. The project provides a unique opportunity to engage with interdisciplinary methods, archival sources, and the intellectual networks that shaped medieval thought. The position is fully funded under the Horizon Europe – ERC programme, with a starting date between December 2025 and February 2026.
