The School of Biology at the University of St Andrews invites applications for a Post-doctoral Research Fellow/Project Manager position on the prestigious Urban Exploration Project, led by Professor Christian Rutz FRSE. Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD (awarded or near completion) in a relevant field such as ecology, zoology, conservation biology, or environmental science
  • Experience in ecological research and data management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in project management and large-scale collaborative research
  • Skills in data analysis, stakeholder communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with pilot research design and implementation
  • Manage coordination of global research teams
  • Maintain meticulous data records and handle complex datasets
  • Support communication and collaboration between partners and stakeholders
  • Contribute to project planning, logistics, and outreach efforts
