About the Position

The University of Kiel invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Position in History of Knowledge of the Ancient World within the Cluster of Excellence ROOTS. Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

PhD in Classics, Ancient Greek and Latin, or a closely related field

Interest in cross-cultural and historical perspectives on knowledge systems

Key Responsibilities

Conduct independent research on the history of knowledge in the Ancient World
Develop a monographic publication based on project findings
Coordinate and mentor a junior research group
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within the ROOTS Cluster
Contribute to comparative and cross-cultural analyses
