Postdoctoral Researcher Position in Earth Sciences at Utrecht University, Netherlands

About Position/Job

The Faculty of Geosciences at Utrecht University, one of Europe’s top research institutions, is hiring a Postdoctoral Researcher in (ocean) biogeochemical modelling within the collaborative PHOSFLUX project. This position offers a rare opportunity to investigate ocean acidification and its cascading impact on phosphorus cycling through advanced reactive-transport modelling, lab experiments, and fieldwork in the North Atlantic. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team from Utrecht University and NIOZ, you’ll contribute to foundational climate and ocean science while developing high-impact modelling tools. This 3-year postdoctoral role provides access to state-of-the-art labs, international collaborations, a scientific cruise, and synchrotron beamline work. If you’re a motivated scientist eager to work at the frontier of ocean biogeochemistry, this opportunity will launch the next stage of your academic career.
