About Position/Job

This Postdoctoral Researcher in fire ecology is part of the FEVER project (Fire Effects on Vegetation, Ecosystem Resilience and Soil Nutrients in Mediterranean Forests) at CNRS, based within the AMAP research unit in Montpellier. The project investigates how wildfires affect vegetation, soil chemistry and nutrient dynamics across major Mediterranean forest types in southern France. The position involves interdisciplinary work combining in situ and ex situ experiments, sedimentary archives, and long-term ecological datasets. It contributes to the national FORESTT programme, funded through France 2030, and supports collaboration with partner laboratories across France. The post offers a unique opportunity to engage in fieldwork, laboratory analyses and data integration, aligning with AMAP’s mission to understand plant architecture, biodiversity and ecosystem responses under environmental change.
