Postdoctoral Position in Structural Evolution of Water Under Pressure and Temperature at CNRS, France – Apply by 18 December 2025

About the Position

The CNRS – Institut Néel is offering a Postdoctoral Researcher position in Water Spectroscopy, focused on the project “Understanding the Structural Evolution of Water Under Pressure and Temperature Using Spectroscopic Methods”. This full-time role explores the behaviour of water under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions using Raman spectroscopy, inelastic X-ray scattering, and second harmonic scattering. Hosted at Institut Néel in Grenoble, with collaborative work at the ESRF ID20 beamline and the Fresnel Institute in Marseille, this position contributes to advancing condensed matter and environmental science. The project aligns with the institute’s commitment to interdisciplinary research, combining physics, materials science, Earth science, and optical spectroscopy. The post offers a dynamic environment within one of France’s leading centres for fundamental research. (Supervisor name not provided in the original job description.)
