Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

A completed PhD (or equivalent foreign degree) in a relevant field
Proven experience in ancient DNA lab techniques
Strong command of English (spoken and written)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD awarded within the last 3 years (exceptions apply)
Proficiency in high-throughput sequencing and computational genomics
Experience handling large-scale palaeogenomic datasets
Skills in scripting, data analysis pipelines, and bioinformatics tools

Key Responsibilities

Conduct laboratory-based ancient DNA extraction and sequencing
Analyse palaeogenomic data using computational and bioinformatic tools
Publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals
Engage with and contribute to daily activities at the Centre for Palaeogenetics
Participate in collaborative research within a dynamic international team
