Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- A completed PhD (or equivalent foreign degree) in a relevant field
- Proven experience in ancient DNA lab techniques
- Strong command of English (spoken and written)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD awarded within the last 3 years (exceptions apply)
- Proficiency in high-throughput sequencing and computational genomics
- Experience handling large-scale palaeogenomic datasets
- Skills in scripting, data analysis pipelines, and bioinformatics tools
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory-based ancient DNA extraction and sequencing
- Analyse palaeogenomic data using computational and bioinformatic tools
- Publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals
- Engage with and contribute to daily activities at the Centre for Palaeogenetics
- Participate in collaborative research within a dynamic international team
