About Position/Job

The University Assistant Pre-Doc role at the University of Vienna offers an exciting opportunity for early-career scholars in Protestant theology with a strong interest in systematic theology. This fixed-term position runs from 1 October 2025 to 28 March 2026 as a maternity leave replacement in the Institute for Systematic Theology and Religious Studies, part of the Faculty of Protestant Theology. The role allows candidates to actively participate in research projects, doctoral seminars, and independent teaching, while completing their dissertation in systematic theology. Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Good teamwork and IT skills
  • Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in research and publications
  • Participation in academic seminars
  • Independent teaching experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach independent courses according to regulations
