The University of Houston invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Professor of Practice position in Anthropology within the Department of Comparative Cultural Studies, College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Anthropology completed by the time of hire
- Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate anthropology courses
- Experience with university-level teaching
Preferred Qualifications:
- Four-field background in anthropology
- Experience teaching online courses using CANVAS
- Ability to teach across multiple campuses
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in anthropology, including core introductory courses
- Deliver courses in both face-to-face and online formats
- Maintain a teaching load of 3:4 per semester, depending on enrolment and departmental needs
- Contribute to curriculum development within the Department of Comparative Cultural Studies
- Participate in departmental service and academic activities
