The University of Cambridge invites applications for a 12-month Project Coordinator position on the NG’IPALAJEM project, funded by the ERC and led by Prof. Marta Mirazón Lahr. This exciting role focuses on advancing research into human evolution in Africa over the last million years, combining palaeontological, archaeological, and geological data from both fieldwork and museum collections. The Project Coordinator will provide vital administrative and organisational support, helping to ensure the smooth operation of a highly interdisciplinary and internationally collaborative project. The position offers a unique opportunity to engage with fieldwork in Kenya, liaise with global partners, and contribute to high-impact research that aligns with the Department of Archaeology’s mission to explore human origins and evolutionary history.

Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in academic project coordination
- Familiarity with HR, payroll, and financial administration

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project activities, events, and communications
- Maintain project records, databases, and documentation
- Liaise with stakeholders and partner institutions
- Support preparation of reports, permits, and funding applications
- Organise meetings, workshops, and conferences
