About Position/Job
The University of Cambridge invites applications for the Project Coordinator (Part Time, Fixed Term) role within the ERC Starting Grant project STEPS: Biomechanical simulations of hominin locomotion across complex terrains, led by Dr Ashleigh Wiseman. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to interdisciplinary research combining human evolution, evolutionary biomechanics, and comparative anatomy. Based at the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research, Cambridge, the successful candidate will coordinate the core project team, liaise with national and international collaborators, assist with research data management, reports, and administrative tasks, and ensure the smooth running of the project. This position is 0.5 FTE with funding available until 31 October 2030, offering a unique opportunity to engage in high-impact research in human evolutionary biology while supporting a dynamic academic team.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in project coordination in academic research

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as key contact between stakeholders and project team
- Support preparation of reports, permits, and applications
- Assist with data processing, transcription, and organisation of research data
- Provide administrative support to the Principal Investigator and team
- Ensure compliance with funding terms, University regulations, and Research Office policies
- Facilitate engagement across the project team and collaborators
