Research Assistant/Associate in Remote Sensing at the University of Cambridge, UK – Apply by 11 January 2026

About the Position

The University of Cambridge invites applications for up to two UKRI-funded Research Assistant/Associate positions in Exoplanetary Remote Sensing and Data Science within the prestigious Institute of Astronomy. Working under the guidance of Professor Nikku Madhusudhan, this role focuses on the characterisation of low-mass sub-Neptune exoplanets using James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) observations and complementary facilities. The project integrates astronomical spectroscopy, remote sensing, data reduction, statistical modelling, and software development to advance global understanding of exoplanetary atmospheres, interiors, and habitability. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to internationally recognised research, collaborate with a dynamic team, and engage with cutting-edge datasets essential for shaping the future of exoplanetary science.
