About the Position
The Institute of Archaeology, Zagreb is inviting applications for a Research Associate position in archaeology and archaeological documentation within the ARHINDOKS Department. This full-time, permanent role supports the Institute’s 2024–2027 strategic plan, focusing on fieldwork, post-excavation processing, digital documentation, and archival management. The position offers the opportunity to participate in archaeological excavations, manage digital repositories, and contribute to national archaeological databases such as DIARH and BASIS. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Completed graduate studies in humanities or archaeology
- Eligibility according to the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act
- Experience aligned with the Institute’s professional standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in archaeological excavations
- Knowledge of total station and GNSS equipment
- Skills in preparing and managing archaeological documentation
- Experience in post-fieldwork processing and archiving
- Proficiency in databases and digital repositories
- Familiarity with DIARH repository and BASIS system
- Willingness to undertake professional training as directed by supervisors
