About Position/Job
The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Kolkata, invites applications for the position of Research Associate-I (RA-I) in the School of Applied and Interdisciplinary Sciences. This temporary research position is part of a project titled “Development and delivery of oligonucleotide-based therapy for genetic disorder disease”. The selected candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research in chemical biology, particularly focusing on oligonucleotide synthesis, drug delivery systems, and bio-conjugation chemistry.

Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemistry with minimum 55% average marks
- PhD in Science
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in chemical biology, organic synthesis, bioconjugation
- Experience with solid-phase oligonucleotide synthesis
- Skills in delivery of oligonucleotides/peptides
- Basic cell biology and spectroscopy knowledge
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in oligonucleotide-based therapies
- Perform organic synthesis and bioconjugation
- Engage in lab-based experimental work
- Assist in data analysis and manuscript preparation
