About the Position
This Research Associate in Criminology role at Flinders University offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to an impactful research programme focused on transforming offender rehabilitation across NSW public prisons. This three-year, full-time post supports the Industry Laureate research programme, emphasising a strengths-based desistance approach. Working within the College of Business, Government and Law, you will collaborate closely with academic colleagues, postgraduate researchers, and justice-sector partners. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Completion or near completion of a PhD in Criminology or a closely related field

- Evidence of international or national research engagement
- Ability to communicate research to diverse audiences
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the Industry Laureate research programme
- Conduct quantitative data collection, analysis, and synthesis
- Prepare literature reviews, reports, and academic publications
- Collaborate with postgraduate students, academic teams, and Corrective Services NSW
- Engage in national and international dissemination activities
- Support ethical, high-quality, and impactful research outcomes
