Research Area

  • Bioinorganic Chemistry

  • Redox biochemistry and oxidative stress mechanisms
  • Spectroscopic analysis of reaction intermediates

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ph.D. degree in Chemistry specializing in Bioinorganic Chemistry
  • Expertise in monitoring reaction kinetics including very fast reactions
  • Knowledge in ROS-mediated oxidative stress mechanisms and redox biochemistry
  • Proficiency in using oxygen-controlled equipment like glove boxes
  • Good communication skills
  • Minimum 60% marks in B.Sc. and M.Sc. with NET qualification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in anaerobic sample preparation
  • Background in enzymatic oxidation reactions involving O2/H2O2
  • Skill in trapping reaction intermediates via spectroscopy

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced research in bioinorganic chemistry
  • Study the reaction kinetics relevant to disease pathology
  • Prepare and maintain anaerobic samples using oxygen-controlled equipment
  • Collaborate with internal research teams
