About the Fellowship
The Research Ireland Enterprise Fellowships aim to bridge the gap between academia and industry, empowering researchers to apply their expertise in real-world contexts. Open to all disciplines — including science, engineering, health, social sciences, arts, and humanities — the programme supports meaningful collaboration and skill development. It offers two streams: a Placement Stream for researchers wishing to work directly within industry worldwide, and a Partnership Stream for those continuing academic research while partnering with enterprise. These fellowships help drive innovation, enhance career development, and strengthen Ireland’s global research reputation. By connecting researchers with enterprise partners, they foster new ideas, practical applications, and strong networks that align with national priorities and international research goals.
