The Heritage Innovations Lab (HILO) at the University of Oxford invites applications for a Researcher role focused on advancing heritage conservation through innovative digital twinning and data-driven strategies. This position plays a vital role in developing predictive models to understand moisture and stone deterioration at historic sites such as Blenheim Palace. Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Strong background in heritage science, environmental science, or related disciplines

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in mentoring junior researchers
Skills in digital twinning or related computational methods
Track record of academic publications and stakeholder engagement

Key Responsibilities

Lead research design and implementation for the HILO project
Analyse data to predict and model material deterioration in historic buildings
Support publication efforts and engage with project partners such as Blenheim Palace
Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge exchange
